Well we did do it - Shamim won with the biggest majority in the new Ward yet. So it cannot have been all as bad as as it felt at the time. So next up is Lynne and we have a lot of worries there that I won't go into here in case anyone decides they are going to threaten me with Libel (if they don't know the difference between that and Slander).
Richard & Kath went off to Turkey on time despite the last minute hitches with the marriage. We have heard from them via the Internet only sporadically. Turns out it can take a year to get a phone line. And you might have to buy the telegraph pole for the wires! Still, we've had a letter from them and a couple of phone calls so we know they are alive and well and settling into their different life style OK. Even picking up a bit of work to while away the time. (Can't spend all your waking time in the bar can you?)
Dunno where the time has gone. Got both the bikes street legal again. It took most of a blazingly hot July to do it and Road Tax on 1st August - and its p*ssed down almost non-stop ever since. Have got out on the Kwakka for one evening ride.
Had a good fortnight session at Nirvana in June. Getting to know and trust our gardener and his workers. They took the load of me tidying up the garden and that helped us decide to get a decent fence and gates. That work has been going on through July and he sends us photos so its all looking good. Must get the next trip sorted.
