PC on the bed - the Day Shift!

Tuesday, 10th January 2006
Today Lynne and I lost a very good friend. His name was PC, and he left behind a brother called Macintosh, and a step-brother called Linux. He was a beautiful cat that looked like he was wearing a DJ and Dicky-bow with the biggest almond eyes you have ever seen. As close as we can recall he was born on the 7th January 1995 and he died on the 10th January 2006 at the age of 10 years and 1 month.

The picture above of him on our bed has fond memories. His routine was to sleep on the bed during the day, and first thing in the morning come and jump on the bed after his dawn patrol (often with muddy paws in the winter) and wake us up. He'd wake up Be-Bop by rubbing up against him with great enthusiasm and undeterred if Be-Bop bared his teeth in annoyance, and then 'stompulate' Lynne (often leaving claw scratches on her back) in a demand to have his 'cuddle-bucket' filled. Then he would ignore us for the rest of the day. This morning was the first without him and it seemed very empty!

The blue towelling dressing gown was also very important to him. He seemed to put himself into a sort of trance by 'paddy-pawing it. No doubt a hang-over from pawing mother for milk as a kitten?

Below are some photos of him to help keep his memory bright in our hearts.

As the flash shows, he wasn't black in the main but actually a 'marmite tabby' but it only showed in bright sunlight or flash.
